About Mount Gay Rum Tasting Tour

Mount Gay Rum Tasting Tour

A wonderful experience for anyone who has a keen interest in rum-making with the added advantage of the beautiful location set up against the backdrop of the brilliant Caribbean Sea. The tour starts with the heritage room where a short introduction is given by the tour guide about how rum is produced in Barbados and the history of Mount Gay as the first rum distillery in the world. It is followed by a short film. The tasting room is the second and vital part of the tour where one can try the 5 different samples of Mount Gay rum and also get to know about different types of the rums and how they are blended for their different tastes. The tour finishes at the bar where a visitor has the chance to buy cocktails made with the rum and will get a generous amount of discounts on drinks. Other items like t-shirts, magnets, etc are also found in the shop apart from rum. Visit Clifton Hall Plantation, one of Barbados’ oldest and grandest great houses where one can taste the Clifton Hall 12-year old rum, masterfully distilled and blended at Foursquare Distillery. Finish the tour with a tasty buffet lunch of Bajan classics.
