About Whistler Blackcomb, BC

Feel the cold wind in your face as you whoosh down the hills of the largest ski resort in North America, Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia. More than 2 million visitors come every year to ski the slopes between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. There are enough gondolas, quad lifts, and chairlifts to take over 65,000 people up the mountains in an hour.

Originally Whistler Blackcomb was two separate resorts. Whistler was built as part of the bid for the 1968 Winter Olympics, while Blackcomb opened in 1980. The two were merged in 2003 to become any skier’s dream mountain experience and hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics alpine events. Hit the slopes were records have been set by professionals in over 8,000 acres of snow, 16 alpine bowls, and three glaciers. Pack your cross-country skis to glide along any of the 200 trails through the parks.

In the summer months, whiz along the zipline above the forest and rocks below, take a gondola tour, ride a sea plane and experience the mountains from the air, or even try your hand at the sport of axe-throwing.

The hotels, shops and beauty of Whistler Blackcomb are calling your name.
