About Santiago

Sophisticated, cosmopolitan, lively, old-worldly charm, these clearly define Santiago, capital of Chile is a fascinating worldly city with skyscrapers, museums, parks adding to the beauty of the city. Santiago is bliss sublime nestled like in a picture postcard between scenic hills and the Mapocho river, between the snow-capped mountains, the Chilean coastal range, and Plaza -de- Armas.

The Spanish missionaries were the first native settlers here. Santiago's name is derived from the Spanish saint named James Santiago who constituted a part of the province of Cagayan Valley.  Early inhabitants settled in Santiago were merchants who used to buy provisions from Chinese traders in Echague. The newly created path triggered the growth and development of business and technologies promoting different cultures. Thus this became an abode for several business enterprises, educational institutes, and manufacturing companies. It is still a prominent hub for commercial and trading activities of the Cagayan Valley. A cultural hub with wild parties and happening eat outs with each neighborhood vying with the other for a one-of-a-kind feel. Come over to savor the picturesque,  scenic, unhurried vibe of the city punctuated with architectural marvels, gorgeous parks, business enterprises, happening art scene, and a futuristic growing economy.
