About National Museum of China

Head to the National Museum of China for a chronological look at Chinese history. The museum is among the largest art museums in the world and houses the most cherished and topmost level cultural relics of the whole nation. It gives an insight into China's imperial history, WWII, the Communist victory, and China's modern history. How to reach

By Bus:
1. Take Bus 1, 2, 52, 59, 82, 120, Sightseeing Bus Line 2, or Tourist Bus Line 2 to Tiananmen East;
2. Take Bus 8, 9, 20, 44, 622, or Te 2 to Qianmen East; and then walk north for 10 minutes to the National Museum of China.

By Subway:
1. Take Subway Line 1 to Tiananmen East, the museum is to the south;
2. Take Subway Line 2 to Qianmen, the museum is to the north.

Tips

  • Carry a valid identity document, specially your passport, while visiting the National Museum.
  • Book a tour guide or opt for audio guide.
  • Do rest at one of the tea or coffee shops, purchase souvenirs and watch the educational movies at the 700-seat theatre.
