About Hu Qingyu Traditional Pharmacy

Hu Qingyu Traditional Pharmacy is located at the foot of Wushan hill and has been open to the public since 1991. Referred to as the "King of Medicine in Southern China", the Chinese medicine museum, covering over 4000 square meters, is the first of its kind in the country. Visit the Exhibition Hall to get a deep understanding of the history of China's famed traditional medicinal practices. Tour around the museum and be mesmerised by some of the techniques used by the Chinese to cure several illnesses which were prevalent in the region. As modern medicine has now taken over and many technological advancements in medicine make it difficult for some to understand the effectiveness of ancient medicine, the museum aims at breaking this stereotypical thinking of the younger generation by encouraging hand on hand medicine making in the medical preparation hall, a very engaging activity.
