Plaza Bolivar is one oasis of the busy city where you can take a cool break under the tall shady trees and sip some hot Colombian coffee or a tangy lemonade. Although it is not a huge botanical garden, it is filled with locals and tourists relaxing after walking around in the city. There are a few fountains that are so refreshing to the eyes and ears. The quiet park also has benches lined up under the trees where you can take a break and watch people pass by. After sunset, the place completely transforms-with several excellent entertainers, dancing and singing for the crowds. Plaza Bolivar is located close to many major attractions like Inquisition Museum and el Museo del Oro and is an ideal stop on every tour plan.
