About Pafos Zoo

Pafos zoo was initially started to make sure that birds and other wildlife are protected from harm and extinction. When this zoo was established, it was designed to be a private one for Mr Christos, who had an undying love for birds. He, therefore, has a huge collection of birds at the zoo. However, after some time, he decided to open the zoo to the public, who would come to visit. One of the most spectacular things about this zoo is that it has been set up in a natural environment, and this means that you will not only see all the wildlife in its natural habitat but also have an amazing feel of nature. To make sure that every bird and wildlife in this zoo has enough space in which they can roam around as if they were in the forest, a huge area has been set aside of over 100,000 square meters.

What makes this zoo stand apart is the fact that despite being in Cyprus, it has birds and animals that have been sourced from various parts of the world. This, therefore, forms for a wide collection and species that you will get to watch while at the zoo. The fact that many people do not know about this zoo is that in Europe, it has the largest variety of venomous snakes and parrots. The wildlife that is dominant in this zoo include kangaroos, giraffes, crocodiles, monkeys, white lions, tigers, and many more animals. A visit to this park will not only be a memorable experience, but the quiet sounds and colours that are in the surroundings will offer you a relaxing sensation.
