  • The drive to Santo Domingo is about 3 hours each way from Punta Cana. So, it is better to start early in the morning.
  • To enter the cathedral women and men should be covered to the elbows and knees. So, it is advisable to wear modest clothing or carry a shawl.
  • The tour involves lot of walking and climbing, so wear comfortable shoes.
  • You will meet many street vendors here. Shop smart as they can be very pushy or aggressive and may charge you unreasonably.
  • Some of the landmarks may be closed on Mondays.
