About Seurasaari Open-Air Museum

Ageless and mesmerizing, Open-Air Museum celebrates its 110th year this time. Guided tours are offered in the museum to help visitors explore the historical wonder of the city. The different buildings of the museum have been built at different parts of the country and assembled here. The museum also hosts various events such as craft markets and workshops for families. If you are open to exploring and experiencing the rural life of the Finnish countryside, then the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum is the place for you, without a doubt. The museum is situated on a lush green island only a few kilometers from the heart of the city of Helsinki. The unique thing about the museum is that the museums, within itself, is an amalgamation of 87 different buildings, which essentially represent different provinces of the city of Helsinki. With old and beautiful wooden buildings spread across the island of Seurasaari, the museum looks like it has been picked out straight from a beautiful and mystic fairy tale book. The enchanting vibes of the museum and the warmth of the wood makes this wonderful island a paradise for visitors it attracts every year. The oldest buildings on the block have been designed during the 17th Century. A nature lover too will revel in the natural beauty the island has to offer and be smitten by the playfulness of the squirrels here.
