About Jal Mahal- The Water Palace

Jal Mahal is picturesque with Man Sagar lake surrounding it. The lake reflects the beauty of the palace. The nighttime visit provides visitors with an enchanting experience of the architecture and the lake. Jal Mahal Palace is located in the middle of Man Sagar lake which has four submerged levels of the palace, though it appears one-storeyed.  It is constructed with red stones and is a five-storeyed structure, four of which remain under water. Jal Mahal is constructed with pink sandstone and the architecture is of Rajput style which is symmetrical.  The blue waters of the lake strikingly contrast the light and sand-coloured stones of the palace.
