About Dashashwamedh Ghat

Dashashwamedh Ghat place of god and goddesses where pilgrims from different parts of the world come to worship, believing it to be one of the holy places. Burials and fire of the bodies seen by the ghats, the priests performing their regular chants and rituals purifies the air and soul of the human. Pilgrims believe, According to the mythological history lord Vishnu has built this Ghat and temple to welcome Lord Shiva. Ancient temples with architectural aesthetics describing ancient India, walking around can provide the essence of the Ghat. Ahilyabahi Holkar, the Queen of Indore has rebuilt and renovated the temple and Ghat in the year 1774, visit to see the ethics of this ghats and performing religious rituals reviving the believes of the pilgrims.

Dashashwamedh Ghat is blessed with religious activities, ganga flows through the ghats.The Dashashwamedh Ghat looks amazing while watching Aarti in the evening on the boat ride or sitting aside. Apart from it taking a walk around the temples, watching the different rituals taking place around by the priest and pilgrims are more auspicious.

How to reach

You can travel by car from the city to the Dashashwamedh Ghat, about 3.7km away.

Vishwanath temple and Jantar Mantar is close, easily walk or travel by an auto rickshaw from Dashashwamedh Ghat
