About Manikarnika Ghat

The holiest place in Varanasi, it is the burning ghat known as Manikarna Ghat. The dead bodies are burned here with wood logs that placed in the ghats, several dead bodies are burned regualrly, priest chanting and praying for their soul during cremations. The holy well, Manikarna well connected by the Charanpaduka with the footprints of Vishnu. Privileged VIPs are fortunated enough to get cremated at the Charanpaduka, which also has one Ganesh temple. A sacred place that connects earth and heaven.
