About Prambanan Temples

This is an outdoor attraction and hence do visit during the dry season from April to October. November to November to March brings the rains, but avoid this but one can get good airfare and hotel deals. Best time to visit is during sunrise or during sunset.

How to reach

Prambanan temple is only 17 km away from Yogyakarta's city center.

Most of Yogyakarta's city hotels' arrange mini-bus tours with prices ranging from IDR 150,000 to IDR 250,000. It lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour.

The second option is to make use of public transport. Bus service 1A of Trans-Jogja from Maguwo to take you directly to the temple and alight about 400 m from it. Will cost IDR 3,600.

It is most convenient to book and arrange your trip in advance. Either book a 3D 2N Yogyakarta Borobudur and Prambanan Tour or a customized Yogyakarta Trip with a visit to the Prambanan Temple.
