About Wadi Rum

"Wadi Rum, or Valley of the Moon, is a valley cut into sandstone and granite in Southern Jordan.

Wadi Rum has been inhabited since prehistoric times by many different cultures. There are caves along the valley full of petroglyphs of humans and antelopes carved into the walls.

This beautiful valley makes a great eco-adventure destination. There are hikes through the desert landscape, up the mountains, through the valleys, and over the dunes. If hiking isn’t thrilling enough, Wadi Rum offers breathtaking sites for rock climbing.

Chances are, you have already seen Wadi Rum from the comfort of your living room. That’s right, the landscape has been the perfect background for science fiction and space movies like “The Martian,” “Prometheus,” “Rogue One,” and even the live-action “Aladdin.”

If the landscapes, hiking through stone valleys, and standing in the same place as famous actors sounds like a great adventure, be sure to book a visit to Wadi Rum. "
