The Roman Baths, in ancient times, were meant to be a meeting place for all citizens. This ancient tradition is very well practiced today by turning one of the Baths for artistic performances and concert space. Though you cannot walk around them, the site reinforces the amazing engineering of the Romans.

How to reach

  • 1 h 6 min (5.0 km) via Damascus by walking.
  • 21 min (6.4 km) via Bechara El Khoury by taxi.
  • Bus fares cost either LL500 (OCFTC bus 24) or LL1000. The service is very efficient and the buses come very often, to get onto a bus you must stand at the side of the road and signal with your hand as a bus approaches; the buses will stop anywhere.
  • Car rental prices range from economical LL40,000/day to luxury prices. Those can change according to the season, so make sure you contact the car rental company beforehand to check prices as well as pickup/drop-off locations.
  • The Taxi Service system is that the price of the ride is fixed at 2,000 L.L (€1 For private taxi LL10,000 should you want one).
