About Lou Lim Ieoc Garden Pavilion

The Lou Lim Leoc Garden was known as the private garden of the local merchant Lou Kau. It was built in 1906. The garden is located in São Lázaro, Macau, China. The Lou Lim Leoc Garden resembles the well known ‘Suzhou Gardens’, Suzhou. Later, it became a public park and came under the control of the Macau government in 1974. The park is a house of beautiful and captivating flower beds and a variety of charming fish. You can feel the fragrance of various beautiful native flowers in the park.

It covers approximately 4 acres of the area. locals gather here to practice Tai chi in the garden mostly in the morning and evening hours of the day. The park is a wonderful mix of ponds, bridges, rockeries, pavilions, and pagodas. You can also witness the locals meditating in the park. There is a washroom as well for the convenience of the tourists. It offers perfect tranquillity to sit and relax far away from the city’s crowd. The perfect time to visit the park is late September and early October as it hosts the annual International Music Festival. 

It also includes a Nine turn bridge in the park that is unique and you should walk on a zig-zag path to enjoy the thrill. The Park is surrounded by several Chinese restaurants where you can relish the local delicacies. It's a perfect escape from your day to day life. The lotus in the pond boasts of an amazing view of the surroundings.
