About Como Cocoa Island

The COMO Cocoa Island, known locally as Makunufushi, is a private luxury resort located in the South Malé natural Atoll. This popular tourist destination sits on the Indian Ocean providing exemplary services and breath taking views.
It consists of 33 luxury villas and suites designed from local fishing boats called 'Dhoni'. Each of these are linked by wooden planks forming a pathway over the clear ocean. The rooms allow you to look out into the ocean in every direction and observe the calm sea bringing peace to your heart. If you take a walk outside on the walkway, you can see the beautiful coral reef below your steps. The over water suites tempt you to step into the calm and clear water.
The Island provides many services, all aimed at making your visit as peaceful and relaxing as possible. One third of the Island, its therapy and wellness center called the 'COMO Shambhala Retreat'. This place offers excellent massages and Asian therapies for your body.

It is a 40-minute speedboat ride from the International Airport on the main Malé Island
