About Manoel Theatre

Malta's National Theatre was built in 1731 and is among the oldest theatres in Europe. Various guided tours are available describing the theatre and its importance in the history of Malta. Booking a few days ahead is suggested. The highlights of the theatre include a baroque, gilt-twinkling auditorium with a huge chandelier. The cinema is an excellent venue for orchestral concerts, performances, chamber concerts, drama and comedy, musicals, opera, programs for children and musical festivals.
