About Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park

Gobi Gurvansaikhan is a National Park that is located in Southern Mongolia. The national park was started in 1993, and over the years, it has grown in size to cover 27000 square kilometers currently. As a result of its size, this national park is the largest in Mongolia. What gives the park its spectacular beauty are the ‘three beauties.’ It is these three ranges of the mountain that form the outlay of the park. This national park is renowned because of the exotic plants and animals that it harbors. One such rare animal that is found in the park is the Gobi camel and the snow leopard. This park offers you to nature in the desert. This is attributed to the singing sand dunes that are well known as the Khongoryn Els. Despite this harsh climate, the park is endowed with diverse wildlife. When you look at the distant edges of the park, you will be stunned by the incredible views of the mountains. Even though the park lacks in tourist infrastructure, you can be assured that you will have an amazing time. However, there are restaurants and hotels around the park where you can get to enjoy amazing meals. This national park offers a rare climate that can harbor some of nature’s best yet endangered species.

How to reach

By Taxi: You can take a taxi ride from Ulan Bator to the airport at a cost of 14000 MNT to 20000 MNT for 13 minutes, which is a distance of 12.6 Km. You can then take a one-hour flight to Bayankhongor at a cost of 85000 MNT to 88000 MNT.
