About Saint Mary's Cathedral

The church stands on a 15-acre grounds. Needless to say, it is magnificent in its British Colonial architecture. This is the largest cathedral in Myanmar. It was built in 1899. Therefore, this church speaks volumes of the history that it witnessed throughout these centuries. There are the cracks from the 1930s earthquake of Rangoon. It withstood the Japanese invasion of 1944 and many more.
