About Cuscos Architectural Treasures

Cusco’s Architectural treasure is a city in the southeast of Peru. The place is worth to be called as an architectural treasure for the area covers some really beautiful sites for the visitors to explore. The city has a vast sunny landscape along with the treasure of Inca and Pre-Inca. Situated beside the great Andes, the city had been the historic capital of the Inca Empire until the 16th-century Spanish conquest. It was stated a World Heritage site in 1983. From then on, the city of Cusco became one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Peru.

One visiting the Machu Pichhu must cross this area as the trips start from here. The good idea is to linger here for a day or two for the purpose of visiting the great Qorikancha and the Museo Inca where the priceless Inca artefacts are preserved.

Here, you can hang around Plaza de Armas and visit Cusco Cathedral. Apart from that, you can explore the giant market of San Pedro. Visiting the Sacsayhuaman ruins is a great idea though for the place is high enough to let you capture a beautiful snap of Cusco’s city. You should also visit the Planetarium Cusco next to Sacsayhuaman.

If you want to pay a proper visit to the deep corners, ensure at least 5-6 days’ vacation. There is a lot to see, a lot to crave, and a lot to gain. If okay with the fact, you can sit in a corner and make a list of the places to visit there.

Must See

  • Qorikancha: The golden temple of sun and convent
  • Cusco Cathedral

  • The beautiful view of the city from Sacsayhuaman
