About The Garden of Mandor

Los Jardines de Mandor is an astonishing natural habitat that belongs to a family since the 1960s. It is home to the most diverse flora and fauna, along with beautiful landscapes and waterfalls that combinedly connects a union with nature. Located at the foot of the Huayna Picchu Mountain, it is open for visitors since the 1990s. Mandor is only accessible by a half or an hour walk on the fantastic pathway leading you towards one of the most serene and nicely conserved beauties of Peru.

Los Jardines de Mandor, a patch of the cloud forest, consists of a Botanic Garden and Mandor waterfall. Through the waterfall flows crystal-clear water, which is a sight to behold for the human eyes. Visitors often swim on the still water surface beneath the fall. Mandor is also home to some endangered and vital species, and some of them, like the spectacled bear, can often be seen in the place. The botanic garden here inside provides a lot of learning about the restoration and preservation of the habitat of hundreds of birds, animals, and plants.

The Mandor property also offers paid campsites and cabins where visitors who want to explore the night beauty generally stay. While staying in the local cabins of the garden, one can enjoy meals made out of some organically grown fresh vegetables as well as relish a cup of organic coffee harvested by the natives. The Mandor Gardens are flourished with the utmost natural beauty that provides a rewarding view of Machu Picchu in the background, which creates the most suitable and soothing meditation place.
