About Lazienki Krolewskie w Warszawie

Beautiful miles and miles of lush greenery with lakes and alluring gardens adorn this 17th-Century baroque-style park. Also billed as an English Park due to the layout of the trees and woodland, it was officially designated as a public park in 1918. The Palace and Orangeries are classically designed buildings with well maintained surrounding gardens and fountains. There is a large lake where concerts are held near the Palace. Łazienki serves as a venue for music, arts, and culture. The lakes, the botanical garden, the architecture and the Palace on the lake are incredible. The park took the name of Łazienki ("Baths") from a bathing pavilion that was located nearby. Tourists from all over the world come to visit this park. There is also a statue of Chopin standing under a Willow tree in front of a granite plaque which constantly plays his music, a lovely tribute to his talent.

A Chinese Pagoda, a testimony to the king's travels also adds to its charm. Largely destroyed by the Nazis, Palace on the Isle was restored to reflect the opulence enjoyed by Poland's royalty and aristocracy. Despite the numerous reconstructions over the years, the edifice has remained as a harmonious whole. But what started as a simple bathing pavilion got transformed into a lavish palace. The exterior changes were accompanied by work on the interiors, most of which were given a Classicist-style appearance. Another interesting attraction of the park is the Museum of Hunting and Horsemanship. Other treasure troves include the Egyptian temple, the Diana temple, Water Tower, the Hermitage. The park also houses beautiful peacocks, squirrels, and ducks that cheer you. Lots of great walking/running trails beneath stately trees. Well worth a visit.
