About Clarke Quay

One of the most happening areas in Singapore, Clarke Quay (pronounced as "key") is the place to be for an evening about town. Located on the riverside of Singapore, it is named after Sir Andrew Clarke, an erstwhile Governor of the country. The restored Waterhouse blocks by the river boast of a large collection bars, pubs and restaurants all looking out towards the riverfront. There are also a few floating pubs that have been built on the redecorated Chinese junk moors. The arena is Singapore's first permanent illusion show anchored by the Quay. You will be spoilt for choice - be it for watching a game at a pub or listening to live music at another one. There are also numerous options when it comes to the kind of cuisine you want to sample here. right from local seafood or pub snacks to Spanish food. In the day, you can also take river cruises from here. There is also the Hong San See temple to visit if the nightlife is not your cup of tea. You will also spot the distinct G Max Reverse Bungy Jump here set up that are lit at night, and allows for a fun time strapping in yourself for a reverse bungee jump. There is also a central shopping center at the spot for retail excursions and it has an escape room game called Lockdown Singapore for you to experiment with.
