About Jonsson Kings Park

The Kings Park Stadium is located in Durban of South Africa and is presently the home ground for the Cell C Sharks team of the Sharks rugby union. This stadium in the Kings Park Sporting Precinct has hosted numerous global sports matches in the past. Football matches have now been shifted to the Moses Mabhida Stadium. This stadium is located within 200 meters of the Kings Park and is also covered by tourists when they visit Durban. This stadium is famous for being the major venue for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The Jonsson King's Park is a popular venue to visit in Durban but it is good to visit during the rugby matches as it can be closed for maintenance during other times. Visitors usually cover both of these stadiums in a single day, especially sports lovers. The stadium is massive in size, has enough room for parking, and houses numerous food and drink stalls inside and outside of the premises. Parking is seldom an issue even during matches but you will also get plenty of shuttles and taxis to book to and from the stadium. It is advised to book a seat towards the upper gallery as the entire city is visible from there and gives excellent shots. Also, ensure that you book tickets from the official website of Sharks rugby or as mentioned there since 3rd party tickets are not deemed valid during entry. The birds-eye view of the city and a few other landmarks from the skycar is a must experience to have when you visit Durban.
