About The Olympic Museum

Greece may be home to the Olympics, but Lausanne is home to the Olympic Museum. The museum is the world’s largest archive of the Olympic Games and a tourist hot spot. The museum features three levels that cover different themes: The Olympic World, The Olympic Games, and the Olympic Spirit. The Olympic World encourages people to unite as one. The Olympic Games shares the stories of the Olympians themselves. The Olympic Spirit takes a look at the influence of the Olympics on the world in general. Whether you’re an athlete or not, you will be moved by the exhibit of torches from every Olympic Games since 1936, the first Olympic flag, and the medals won since 1896.
