About Soi Dog Foundation

Soi Dog house is a rescue organization located on the most significant island in Phuket, Thailand, which was established in the year 2003. It has been registered in many other countries as well, like Canada, Australia, France, United States, etc. The primary mission and vision of the organization are to take due care of stray cats and dogs. The persons behind its formation are the British couple, John and Gill Dalley.

The organization works towards preventing cats and dogs from illegal trade. The word soi means Street in particular. Over 100000 dogs are being neutered to bring down the population of dogs and cats living on the street. It has led to a reduction of over 90% population of stray dogs and cats in Thailand. Visiting the place, you will be witnessing heartbreak as well as happiness. It costs the organization $1million to operate every month. Do carry toys, blankets, foods, etc. as such stuff will help you connect with the cats and dogs more efficiently and effectively. The dogs and cats present there are loving and caring. It is way too clean, and the environment is very hygienic to shelter animals with due care and respect. The dogs and cats are picked from the street, neutered, vaccinated, and carefully kept. The primary goal is to prevent them from the trade of meat. All the animals in the rescue center are appropriately vaccinated, and thus there is no scope for rabies. You surely will not regret visiting there as the good deeds done by people will stay as pride in your heart forever until your next visit.
