About L'Eglise Saint-Joseph

L'Eglise Saint-Joseph is located at the center of Houmt Souk and is a brilliant location for all religion lovers. The church was built in the 19th Century under the rule of the French colonial administration which was meant to provide a suitable prayer room for the senior officials and their families. The church served as a place of worship in Tunisia and later closed its doors to worship and was exploited as a library or a training room for martial arts. The church has gone through many changes carried out under the direction of various Popes.
