Midoun is Djerba's largest market town. The old medina area of the market is full of gorgeous buildings, skinny alleyways, and high walls. The Friday market is the most amazing part of the place. The people near the surrounding areas include descendants of slaves, who were originally brought from Sudan. If someone plans to visit during summer months, then there is a weekly cultural show packed with folk dancing and camel parades.
