About Milet Ruins

Once a bustling hub of activity and an ancient Greek city that was a sea trading port, the ruins at Milet/Miletus are less crowded and quiet now most of the time. This place is a short drive from Didim. An incredible place that is worth a visit. Historically, until the water was re-routed it used to be the main harbor. It’s guarded and well kept. Amazing place for those with an interest in ancient history. The theatre, in particular, is very impressive and one of the most beautiful examples of Greek-o-Roman styles. This place is truly worth a visit and a perfect slice of history.
