About Ai-Petri

Ai-Petri is a mountain located within the Yalta range of the Crimean Mountains, approximately 2 million years old, situated at an elevation of 4000 feet. The word Ai-Petri is of Greek origin, which translates as Saint Peter. The mountain is located near the city of Alupka. It is regarded as one of the wildest peaks in Crimea due to their suspension bridges. The uniqueness of this peak is that the fact that this place is considered to be one of the windiest places in Crimea where the wind blows for 125 days in a year with a speed of 100 miles per hour. On top of that, it is also one of the foggiest places in Ukraine, having the maximum number of hazy days. These two factors add to the mystery and excitement of the place.

The place offers a breathtaking view of the peak and coast. One can get to the top of the hill by hiking or via a cable car ride to enjoy the astounding scenery of the green forests, white cliffs, Black Sea, and surrounding cities of Yalta and Alupka. Ai-Petri also offers various sports and adventure activities during summer and winter season such as rope bridges, cable cars, bungee jumping, rope sliding, zip lines, horseback riding, and more. It is famous for its incredible set of cable bridges, which attracts tourists from far and wide. This place is a must-visit as it has so much to offer, not only in terms of splendid view but also the experience of exotic local food, which makes the journey worth it.
