About The Alamo

The Alamo is a historical site in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Initially, it was known as Mission San Antonio de Valero. At 1800 B.C, this mission was taken over by the Mexican soldiers. They changed the name of the mission to the Alamo after the cottonwood trees that were found around the ground.

In 2015, the Alamo was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The long barracks museum is located on the ground of the Alamo. This museum is filled with fascinating facts about the Texas revolution. The boat ride at San Antonio river will give you loads of fun with the family. A short walk along the river will make you feel refreshed. A one-minute walk from the river will take you to Ripley's believe-it-or-not museum. Have a great experience with your family at the museum. The Alamo ghost tour will make you excited with old fashioned lights along with the cottonwood trees.
