About Golden Gate Bridge

Think Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco comes to mind immediately. The bridge is to San Francisco what Big Ben is to London, or what Taj Mahal is to Agra. A modern engineering marvel and the city's most well-known symbol, the massive suspension bridge connects San Francisco city with Marin County.

The bridge took four years to build and, on its completion in 1937, was the longest and tallest suspension bridge in the world. On fog-less days, the bridge provides magnificent views of the surrounding areas. It is no wonder that this San Francisco icon is one of the most visited and photographed bridges in the world.
