About Bukhara

Bukhara- The shining pearl on Silk Route

From the dusky winds that rise above the wheels of fortune, rises a place where azure crowns grace the beauty of Bukhara. As the sun kisses the hills of this place, sounds of morning prayers reach the ears. And one wakes up to a blissful piece of earth. Most of the Bukhara City monuments are UNESCO World Heritage sites. From the architectural wonders to the culinary essence to the traditional merchandise- the city never fails to impress you.

Located on the Silk Route, Bukhara has been the centre of religion, scholarship, culture and trade. Perfectly located on the map, the country Uzbekistan and its city Bukhara is a pair made in Heaven. It is the fifth largest city of Uzbekistan. Locals spread warmth and harmony through the mother tongue Turkic. But don't worry, they have fairly good hands-on English and German language. The locals are as excited by any visitor and show them their city. Each and every monument has the beauty to swear by and brutality to remember for ages.

The city carries blue domes as its crown and historic monuments as its throne. Whereas mosques and madrassahs are centres of religious studies, the minarets and pits have been used for brutal executions. The Sitori Mokhi Khosa summer palace is a masterpiece of love and royalty. For centuries since 970, the city has been invaded and ruled on. Genghis Khan has been one of the most powerful kings to rule the land. The Bukhara City has given the first Imams and religious leaders after World War II. The Religious Centre of Bukhara is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will come as a tourist/visitor but you will leave as if you were a part of history. Bukhara City completely justifies its title- Shining Pearl on Silk Route.
