About Dar al-Hajar

Dar al-Hajar ia a royal palace where the ruler of Yemen, Yahya Muhammad Hamid ed-Din used to live. The palace is built on a rock as a summer retreat. Royal ambience of Yemeni culture could  be seen here. Towers built of burnt brick attracts visitors. The place is best to visit in summers. Natural landscapes surrounding this place makes it all the more beautiful. There are 35 rooms, kitchens and pantries in the palace. Also there are 5 ruined watch towers around the palace.
