The place takes you back in time to experience the ancient Yemen. The city has maintained its historical remains and thus has been listed in UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. The architectural style of tower-houses will make you spell bound. All the houses and buildings with stained glass windows have made it through 1000 years. These buildings were constructed from rammed earth. The place has it all from traditional products to unique ancient walls, like a handbook of the country. The city is situated at a height of 2200m and has preserved itself quite well.
