About Museum Of Contemporary Art

A saucer-shaped structure, this aesthetically designed building has become the landmark of the city. Opened to the public in 1996, this is one of the brilliant works of Oscar Niemeyer. It is home to the second-largest collection of modern art in Brazil.

The building in itself is a sight to behold with its white colour perfectly contrasting with the blue of the sea. The collection of art dates back to 1950s.

Spread over 4 floors, the museum is a treasure-cove for art lovers. Some of the intricate and modern works are sure to keep your little ones engaged as well. Apart from the work of art, the building has a restaurant which offers some lip-smacking Brazilian cuisine. Enjoy some amazing views as well with your meal

Though Niemeyer has designed over 500 projects in Brazil alone, this is known to be the most favourite projects of his lifetime.
