  • Traveling to Shenzhen during the Chinese holidays is a good idea as huge swathes of people travel to their hometowns.
  • There is no dearth of open lung spaces, a true example of modernity coexisting with nature. All the reason to get out and walk, jog, run, or simply be in the ’outside’.
  •   Passengers under 16 years old are not allowed to carry any cigarettes nor liquor; The limits on duty-free and non-duty free cigarettes are the same.
  • Mandarin is the official spoken language though one may hear dialects from all over the country here.
  • One can make a dash to Hong Kong from here in a couple of hours owing to the proximity.
  • Each passenger is allowed to bring one pet into China. Such pets should be accompanied by quarantine and rabies-immunization certificates.
  • Be careful with your passports and documents especially at the airports and crowded places.
  • Be aware of the pollution levels during your travel to avoid smoggy days and hotel stays.

  • Don’t wear jewels, a watch, a necklace, etc before going to Shenzhen.
  • Avoid wearing expensive items or it could land you in trouble.
  • Always put Backpacks in front of you and never on the back, thieves love backpacks!

Night Life

The nightlife in Shenzhen is thoroughly enjoyed by the locals and visitors in Bars & Clubs, Discos, and Dance Clubs, and the many Live Music Venues. Luohu was the happening place for partygoers but right now Coco Park holds the lure and charm to entice the night owls. Whether one wants a busy scene or quaint little streets lined with limited hangout places, there is something for everyone. Since Hong Kong or Macau is not far away from Shenzhen, there is no dearth of opportunity to let your hair down. Families might prefer to spend luxurious weekends in resorts nestled in various corners and the youngsters might be inclined to thrive in the happening city center. Get away to the OCT Bay and watch the enthralling night shows or go on a shopping frenzy at any of the malls or streets or hit the bar streets in Shenzen. Whatever you may choose to do, Shenzhen by night can sweep you off your feet and promises to be all that you envisioned and more.
