About Museum of Broken Relationships

Whoever said that interrupted, ended and precarious human relationships should go forgotten, has never been to the Museum of Broken Relationships.  Located in the capital’s Upper Town, this Zagreb-artist-based phenomenon has been recognized as the most innovative European Museum and it continues to be a real “hit” especially for its seven-days-a-week hours of operation schedule and for being privately owned. Pretty cool, right? Objects that represent the beginning, the development and the end of two individuals’ joint life whose “red thread” has been broken by a presence that is invisible to the eye but every much tangible to the heart. Love, admiration, infatuation, hate, and betrayal is what this incredible museum is all about; you will learn of  lovers’ relationships that will always be remembered by their deeply-felt attachment to each other’s light and obsession: before parting their ways, they left behind residual love and hate, the material proof of what made and broke them, at the same time, is for your eyes to see, for your heart to feel.
