Do’s:

  • Do haggle on prices when purchasing.
  • Be patient with vendors, as they can get aggressive and pushy.
  • Do leave tips in restaurants.
  • Always keep your passport if you are heading out on a desert excursion.
  • Dress respectfully, especially when visiting places of worship.
  • Bring aqua shoes along, it will be safe when walking in the water. 
  • You have to go kite surfing. March to November is the best time for it. If you do not know how, there are many schools to teach you.
  • Don’t think that Sharm is only sandy beaches, and nightlife, try exploring Sinai’s desert on quad bikes!

Don’ts:

  • Go for desert excursions without an experienced guide and a good driver.
  • Expose yourself to the sun in summer.
  • Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
  • When in beaches and diving spots, think is it safe to touch any coral?
  • There are many innocent looking things in the sea. Do you really want to touch it?
  • Walk away without having fun scuba diving. You will get to see many kinds of water fishes, ship wreck in the dive site.

 

Night Life

Sharm el-Sheikh truly comes alive at night. With its dozens of discos and bars, there is no dearth of entertainment options here. You can dance the night away at Pacha nightclub, La Dolce Vita, Hard Rock Café, Little Buddha, Panagea. Popular bars include Camel Bar, Mandarin Bar, Ice Bar, Farsha Mountain Lounge, etc. If you are interested in poker, try Sinai Grand Casino.

Must See

  • Sharm el-Sheikh’s irresistible charm revolves around its blue wonders. And there is no better place to experience the magic of the sea than Ras Mohammed and Tiran Island coral reefs, where you can have close encounters with exotic fish.
  • Na’ama Bay is Sharm el-Sheikh's nerve centre; the place to chill out. If you want to relax at the beach, this is the place to be.
  • If you get tired of the sea, there is a desert waiting to be explored. Hop on a camel and head into the Sinai Desert to experience the Bedouin hospitality.
  • There's something for history buffs as well. Saint Catherine's Monastery, which lies at the base of Mount Sinai, was built in the sixth century AD. It is the world's oldest Christian monastery and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Your trip won't be complete without a visit to the Old Market, which is full of colour and aroma. Don't forget to buy some Sharm el-Sheikh's famous herbs and spices.
  • Al-Mustafa Mosque will take you by surprise with its striking architecture; it is worth checking out.
