Rank in Europe
Slovenia is a country rich with hidden treasures. Some might say, nothing is at it seems.
On the surface, it is a country covered by rocky mountains, expansive green forests, and glacial lakes and water. Churches and castles sit atop hillsides and islands with views of the valleys below. There are historical town squares with quaint cafés where travelers can take a break from their explorations for a relaxing stop.
However, it is the unseen that is the real lure of Slovenia. Wondrous and massive karst caves lie underground. Rivers rush through subterranean channels, flowing into cavernous lakes. Farms are concealed in mountain valleys, hospitals hidden in gorges, bear caves submerged underwater, and legendary treasures are hidden in the national park. Unassuming buildings display newly discovered frescoes and 15th-century art by famous painters.
The only real mystery to your vacation in Slovenia is, what else you can possibly discover.
